Hi, I’m Paula Bowers! I’ve been creating pottery for over 12 years, drawing inspiration from the rich history of South Carolina ceramics, the natural beauty of our family farm, and the music that moves me.
My work is all about joy—whimsical, functional pieces designed to be used and loved every day, yet crafted with the care and quality to last a lifetime.
How it’s Made
This mug is built by hand using clay slabs and roller textures for the swirling sky and embossed blue terrain. The red truck is sculpted and applied with careful attention to detail, from the curved wheels to the hand-carved lettering. After drying, it’s bisque fired, hand-painted with layers of underglaze, and then glaze fired to a glossy, durable finish.
Each mug is a unique expression of movement, music, and craft.
