Hi, I’m Paula Bowers! I’ve been creating pottery for over 12 years, drawing inspiration from the rich history of South Carolina ceramics, the natural beauty of our family farm, and the music that moves me.
My work is all about joy—whimsical, functional pieces designed to be used and loved every day, yet crafted with the care and quality to last a lifetime.
How it’s Made
This trinket dish is hand-formed from a smooth clay slab and gently shaped into a shallow plate. The Boxer image is applied using a ceramic transfer technique, then framed with hand-painted lemons and leaves using underglazes. Once dried, it’s bisque fired, glazed with a clear coat to seal in the artwork, and fired again to 2300°F. Durable, decorative, and full of personality—each one is crafted with care in the studio.
