Meet the Maker

Hi, I’m Paula Bowers! I’ve been creating pottery for over 12 years, drawing inspiration from the rich history of South Carolina ceramics, the natural beauty of our family farm, and the music that moves me.

My work is all about joy—whimsical, functional pieces designed to be used and loved every day, yet crafted with the care and quality to last a lifetime.

How it’s Made

Each apron is handmade in my home studio with the same care and attention to detail that I bring to my pottery. I start by cutting high-quality cotton fabric printed with a whimsical forest of mushrooms—bright, fun, and full of personality. The split-leg shape is carefully measured and cut to give potters full mobility at the wheel without fabric bunching or twisting.

The apron is fully stitched with reinforced seams for durability, especially around the pockets and stress points. I add a wide, comfortable neck strap and long ties so you can adjust the fit to your liking. The deep front pockets are double-sewn for extra strength, perfect for holding your trimming tools, sponge, rib, or phone while you work.

Every apron is pressed, checked for quality, and finished by hand before it leaves my studio—made to withstand clay splatters, long workdays, and all the muddy magic of a busy pottery space.
